The 2017 season has seen AquaX arrive on the shores of over six countries to give fans the chance to watch the best racers on their own doorstep giving local riders the opportunity to line-up alongside the elite.
This weekend, the shores of Port Balis play host to the final round of the European series as Spain make their AquaX debut and we have seen some central European riders throw their hats in the ring.
11 Pro Enduro riders will be wearing the AquaX vest for the first time including Jan Forman, a Czech Republic native who was only introduced to jet ski racing in 2014 courtesy of his mechanical background.
“My first contact with jet ski racing was three years ago in Czech Republic. In that race, my friends had a problem with his jet ski and he asked me to help because I have experience with servicing cars,” Forman explained.
“He told me I can try to run on the jet ski. This moment changed my life. It was amazing.”
This was the start of a journey that took Forman into competitive racing national and now internationally.
“The next year I bought my first jet ski and preparing for the racing season was in full swing.
“In 2015, I had my first race where I finished 3rd place in Runabout 2-stroke stock.”
“The highest standard of racing for me was Alpe Adria jet ski tour. In AquaX, I will be racing for the first time so we will see how it goes.
As well as wanting to notch up some great race results, Forman is wanting to ensure he takes as much enjoyment out of the weekend and meet as many fellow riders as possible.
“My hopes for this weekend is to relax, make the most of the new experience, meet with new people and enjoy the perfect weather.
“I don´t know much about the riders apart from two of them I know from Czech races but I´m hoping for good result.”
