The safety team of Powerboat P1, the world’s leading marine motorsport brand, is again being supplied with wetsuits by Jet Pilot, the industry leader in riding gear and life vests. The Jet Pilot brand was launched in 1986 when it created technically advanced wetsuits, life vests and apparel for personal watercraft sports enthusiasts, and this is the fourth season that it as been the official wetsuit provider to the P1 safety team in the United States.
P1 USA Championship Manager, Michelle Petro said: “Industry partners play a major role in supporting our international personal watercraft racing platform and we are delighted to have a world class supplier like Jet Pilot provide our on-water team with protective wetsuits, life vests, boots and gloves. On a race weekend nothing is more important than safety for everyone involved and, as jet sport enthusiasts, we are very much aware of Jet Pilot’s devotion to safety.”
Joe McNulty at Sport Dimension in California, who distribute the Jet Pilot range of watersports products and clothing in North America, explained: “As a global brand committed to jet ski racing, it makes perfect sense for Jet Pilot to continue to partner with the international P1 AquaX race series and showcase our superb wetsuits in such a great watersport environment. Everything Jet Pilot produces is rigorously tested by the world’s best athletes - including professional jet ski rider Chris MacClugage, the reigning P1 AquaX Pro Enduro champion – and considered to be the most progressive, innovative and technically advanced rider-inspired range on the market.”
P1’s experienced, highly trained and qualified team of marshals is present at every race event to ensure the highest standard of safety and rescue for competitors, and Azam Rangoonwala comments: “It’s reassuring to be partnering with Jet Pilot across our extensive race calendar here in the United States which runs from April to November this year.” The next P1 AquaX event will be in Whiting, Indiana on the southern shore of Lake Michigan on the weekend of August 11/12.
